Take a look at some of my happiest 2024 wedding moments

2024 started at my local registry office in Danson House, Bexley, Kent.
A beautiful Grade 1 listed Palladian Villa, built by Sir John Boyd in 1766, originally designed by architect Sir Robert Taylor (who was also the architect of the Bank of England). I’d grown up playing in Danson Park and Danson house was almost derelict and was only re-opened by HM Queen Elizabeth II in July 2005.
2024, although a quieter year than normal it still had all the ingredients for a fantastic year with great weddings, lovely couples with many 5 star reviews and some venues that I hadn’t worked at before and of course lots I love returning to.
2024 took me all over Kent, Essex and London to shooting weddings and the weather was another dry year with only one very wet wedding. ”Friday 5th & saturday 6th april
”We were recommended Matt Rock by the Boathouse in June 2023. Matt from the very beginning was so approachable, nothing was to much. Especially when we’re not a very techy couple.
Matt was able to provide a package for our wedding on Friday 5th April and reception Saturday 6th April. Matt arrived earlier than expected and looked very professional.
Our guests were very impressed with him taking photos during the events not interrupting. When we wanted a picture he was always there. He was also very friendly and my friends spoke very highly of him.
Matt sent through a video of the two days which was great and received on the Sunday. He said this could be shared with family and friends. Our friends were very impressed!! Whilst on our honeymoon he sent through the pictures which were captured in both colour and black and white.
Matt had explained the way he worked which was evidenced in the quality of the video and the photos. It is definitely value for money.
One of our friends is getting married this year and we have recommended Matt if his diary permits!
I cannot speak highly enough of Matt at putting Terry and I at ease, as we do not do photos!!

It turned out Diane & Terry’s friends - Chris & Sue - did book me for their wedding at Hever Castle in August 2024 and the groom was an amazing DJ - You can see some of him doing a set at his own wedding reception at the end of this blog….

“We were recommended Matt Rock from the venue we got married, I was sold as soon as I spoke to Matt on the phone for the first time. He was so easy to talk to, we ended up with a very lengthy phone call but he made notes on all my special requests and delivered them. He was very professional but also discreet most of the time you didn’t even know he was there but he captured all of our special moments.
I was touched that he remembered that I wanted some special photos taken for my nan who could not make it to the wedding after being taken to hospital, these were sent through the next day!
I would 100% recommend Matt to anyone looking for a wedding photographer, I am so pleased with my photos.

Great communication in the run up to the day, got all the group shots we wanted efficiently then cracked on, integrating seamlessly with the wedding party to get some incredible natural, candid shots.
We received an early preview of the gallery shortly after the wedding which was great to look through on our honeymoon, followed by the full shot list which was easy to access and download in high res.

We just knew we had to book him.
He kept has informed throughout the whole process until the wedding day.
On our wedding day, as Matt is a “ candid photographer, after our main pictures of the day Matt pretty much took amazing pictures without being invasive which is what we wanted.

I will always have a love for black & white photographs but understand not everyone does. So for a couple of years now I always give the couple all of their finished photos in both colour and black & white. This way you can choose your favourites to print out and hang on your wall.
